Since 1946, Modern Precast Concrete Products & Construction Supplies, Inc. has had an unwavering commitment to progress, serving its customers with a true commitment to solving their problems with solutions that have sometimes evolved into new marketing directions for the company.

The same can be said of the corporate name which, effective September 1, 2005, became Modern Precast Concrete, Inc., operating with the following four divisions, Buildings, Construction Supplies, Site & Highway Products and Environmental & Wastewater. In addition, a new core tagline with tag extensions is being added to solidify the company’s mission: “Modern...Concrete Solutions.”

“ We are marketers who believe that sharpening our image on a continuous basis supports our long-standing marketing principles,” says Vernon Wehrung, Modern president & CEO. “Our former corporate name had grown with each product addition, it seemed, and it was time to formalize the divisionalization of our company to accommodate growth.”

The company established itself in 1946 as Woodrow W. Wehrung Excavating and in 1951, it was renamed Modern Concrete Septic Tank Company. In 2006, Modern Precast Concrete, Inc. celebrated it's 60th year anniversary.
